SIRxpert Alert

The alert module allows automatic assistance in the surveillance of epidemics; users define result monitoring rules, SIR alerts when the case occurs. Alerts can relate to ecology, antibiotic resistance, nosocomial infections, etc. Here are some examples of alerts:

• If there are 2 nosocomial infections on the same day (or week) in the same department,
• If the frequency of pseudomonas aeruginosa in department X exceeds Y%,
• If the rate of resistance to Cefotaxime exceeds X% for bacteria in group Z, in a given period (week, month, …),
• If the frequency of s. aureus oxacillin-R increases by more than X% in department Y, over the last 6 months
