An interfacing module designed to connect automates from the SIRscan range, as well as any instruments using the microdilution technique in liquid medium available on the market. With its ability to interface with multiple instruments simultaneously, SIRxpert Antibiogram can serve as a true middleware for the bacterial identification/antibiogram workstation. Operating in automatic or manual mode, it facilitates the sending of bacteriology test requests to one (or more) instruments (patient and analysis demographic data) and also retrieves data from a micro-dilution system, including identifications and/or antibiograms (MIC and/or raw results). Upon receiving the results, the AST interpretation is rendered.
If necessary, additional results from the diffusion technique in gel-based medium (additional plates, additional antibiotics, MIC strips) or other techniques can be added to comprehensively interpret all antibiogram results across all techniques.
