Our story began in 1986, when our path crossed with that Professor de Micco, who was then in charge of the Microbiology department at the Marseille hospitals.
A pioneer in many fields, and aware of the potential the digital revolution could bring to medicine, he articulated the ambition to model and automate microbiological diagnosis, a complex field only then mastered by very few experts.

Driven by a passion for emerging technologies, the precursors of all the AI technologies flourishing today, the three of us, fellow computer scientists, then embarked on an exploration of hospital labs in search of this knowledge, eagerly delving into the medical world and tackling the task at hand…
Two years later, as our studies were coming to an end, a professor took us up on our word: “You claim to have a fabulous product, you want to start your own business? Here’s an application for admission to the Cap Alpha business incubator. You have three weeks to submit it…”
